Queintard DeGeneste began his formal art training at Arts High School, Newark, NJ. After transfering to and graduating from Newark South Side High School
he attended Arizona State Univeristy where he majored in Commercial Art & Design and received his degree from Pacific College in Business and Commercial Art. While out west he created, sold and
exhibited his art at shows and galleries in the area.
After returning to the east coast, he completed freelance illustrations and art projects for a variety of clothing stores and magazine publishers in New York and New Jersey. He continued
his training by taking courses at the NY School of Art & Design and the School of Visual Arts.
After graduating from Law school, he began a career in business, and put aside his art career until his heart attack in 1995. His recovery afforded him time to reflect on life
and renewed his passion for art.
Quinn works in a variety of different mediums from acrylics, watercolors, pencil, airbrush and inks. His distinctive style and medium combinations have garnered a number of awards for his
work. He has exhibited and sold his work in numerous shows on the east coast and has curated and exhibited at the University of Medicine & Dentistry NJ, RWJohnson Medical School Gallery,
Morristown NJ Atrium Gallery, Lincoln Centers-Cork Gallery NY, the Johnson Gallery, Bedminster, NJ and has permenant art in numerous private collections.
